Clown and Physical Theatre
In 2017, I went to Giovanni Fusetti’s “Tao of Clown” three-day workshop, and was hooked on clown. A couple of years later, I attended Amy Russell’s “Embodied Poetics” workshops, further exploring mimesis and playing with the environment.
During 2025, I attended Anna Thomson’s “Down 2 Clown” and bouffon workshops. During these workshops I have explored connecting with the audience, finding the game, mirroring the environment and being deeply playful.
Improvisation
I performed with Playback Theatre Hobart for around a year, pre-2020. We “played back” the audience’s stories to them, using improvisation. In 2025, I performed with Protea Impro, after attending several of their workshops. This included multiple Theatresports performances, several long-form performances and attending workshops as part of the “Dark Impro Festival”.
Ensemble Work: Devising and Performing in MARE
Excerpts from MARE (Experimental devised work, University of Tasmania, 2026).
In the final year of my University theatre major, I have performed in two ensemble works for the public. The first, “MARE”, was an experimental production created by 17 students. We wove a surreal landscape of horses, worms, poetry and soundscapes, inspired by our dreams. I helped devise the piece and performed in it.
